Griefshare

A safe place to find hope and healing after losing someone you love

You Belong Here

You don't have to grieve alone

Loss changes everything. Whether you've lost a spouse, a parent, a child, or a dear friend, grief can be heavier and lonelier than anyone warns you. You were not meant to carry it by yourself.

GriefShare is a 13-week support group for people who are grieving. Each week includes a short video from counselors and pastors who understand loss, honest conversation with a small group, and a workbook for the time in between. There's no pretending here. Some weeks you may want to talk, and some weeks you may only be able to listen. Both are welcome.

The people around the table understand, because they've been where you are. Together we grieve honestly and hold on to hope in God's promises, at whatever pace your grief allows. Whether your loss was last month or years ago, you can join at any point in the 13 weeks. You don't need answers, and you don't need to be "over it." Just come.

FAQ

We Know You Might Be Wondering...

Grief is hard enough without worrying about what to expect. Here are answers to questions we hear most often—because we want you to feel completely comfortable joining us.

Do I need to be a member of the church to participate?

Not at all! GriefShare is open to anyone in our community who is grieving the loss of a loved one. You don't need to be a church member or even have a faith background. We welcome people at every stage of their grief journey and faith journey. Come as you are.

What if I'm not ready to talk about my loss?

That's completely okay. There's no pressure to share if you're not ready. Many people find it helpful just to listen and be around others who understand. You can participate as much or as little as feels right for you. This is a safe space where silence is respected just as much as sharing.

How long ago does my loss need to be?

There's no timeline for grief. Whether your loss was recent or years ago, you're welcome here. Some people join shortly after their loved one's death, while others come months or even years later when they realize they need support. Grief doesn't follow a schedule, and neither do we.

What if I get emotional during the meeting?

Tears are welcome here. Grief is painful, and this is a safe place to express that pain. We have tissues, understanding faces, and people who've been exactly where you are. There's no need to "keep it together"—you can be real about what you're feeling.
